Valentine's Day

Apparently, St Valentine attempted to convert emperor Claudius II to Christianity which resulted in his execution (beheading). There doesn't really seem to be a consistent historical basis to the story but whatever the story is, let's just say it really has nothing to do with love and flowers. Hallmark and florists make a crap load of money today hahahah.
We don't make a big deal out of Valentine's day (We did in High School though. I would have cried if Eric didn't get me flowers and a present hahaah I was such a brat....still am I suppose).

We decided to eat...a lot. First stop Pho Pasteur and then Max Brenner.

Sydney has been overbearingly hot as of late. But it was a nice cool change for once and I could actually wear a cardigan and a scarf.

Grilled pork rice paper rolls with peanut sauce.

Special beef noodle soup (Eric's). I just ordered regular beef noodle. I didn't think I could keep down the tripe.

Eric sort of looks like Max Brenner below hahahaha.

Waiting for our orders. I am not really a chocolate person. But having Max Brenner every now and then is heaven.

Chocolate Babka with chocolate dipping sauce and waffles with strawberry. For the non-Australians who read this; Max Brenner chocolate is the best tasting chocolate EVER. By the way, babka is a Jewish cinnamon scroll right?? (I'm making an assumption since I always used to watch the Nanny and Fran Fine's mother makes it).  I remembered that Max Brenner is actually Jewish so of course it made sense for this to be on the menu. It was awesome dipped in that chocolate sauce.

Skim hot chocolate. I have always wanted to steal the hug mugs. They're a bloody rip off they are.

This was so good! Anyway, in winter the hug mug is great because it keeps your hands warm when you sip.

Ended the day by coming over my mama's place where she gave me some food to take home (as usual). My mother always makes so much food so that I don't have to cook. And believe me, I'm not complaining since most of her dishes are healthy.

Happy V-Day to all.
